I migrated to the United States at the tender age of five, carrying with me the rich traditions, values, and vibrant spirit of my homeland. Like many Jamaicans, I grew up in a home where food was the heart of everything, a symbol of love, unity and cultural pride.
Over the years, I’ve held tightly to those roots. Food has always been more than just nourishment for me, it’s a way to tell stories, celebrate our identity, and bring people together. That passion inspired me to create Mi Dutchi, a brand born out of love for Caribbean cuisine, especially the bold, soulful flavors of Jamaica.
Mi Dutchi isn’t just about food, it’s about representation. Far too often, others have profited from our culture without truly honoring its origins. I created this brand not only to share the taste of the islands but to proudly be the face and voice of something authentically ours.
